The European Commission set up regulations concerning the selling and trading of Category 2 material. Among Category 2 material belong frozen mice and frozen rats.
Category 2 animals can only be sold by companies recognized by the Dutch government. It is no longer possible to sell frozen animal food from non-recognized companies. This rule applies to the entire EU.
Our company only sells Category 2 material from officially recognized companies. The frozen animal food we buy is traceable during the entire process from breeding to the frozen product itself. There is full chain control. Moreover, by means of our trading documents we can give clarification to the VWA (Voedsel en Warenautoriteit, a Dutch institution, controlled by Dutch government, on the control of the quality of food) that we are only involved with Category 2 material from officially recognized companies.
